Companies and Environmental Costs

I touched on this previously as well:
... Basically, growth for its own sake is a bad idea. That being said, this behavior is not and should not be typical of capitalism. It happens, yes, but it should not nor do I think it is typical. Additionally, the company that grows as a by-product of its financial health is in a good position to act in a more environmentally and socially responsible manner. This type of company has responsible leader aware of its place in the system.
